IW Festival 2008 picture slot

Light conditions at the Festival on Friday were quite something. Dark, menacing skies with shafts of lemon-yellow sunlight made for some quite striking shots. This shot of the Festival Eye was taken looking back to the main arena from the route to Strawberry Fields. The sun had caught the Eye producing some dazzling reflections from the gondola windows, contrasting with the brooding grey of the clouds.

Caught on camera phone. Moments like this need a quickly available camera, and my high-res one requires fishing out of a bag. I don’t go wandering around clutching a camera as it speaks volumes about the person (it shouts NERD!).
