The Zombies: IW Festival Saturday 13 June 2009

Played three recognisably familiar songs: A Rose for Emily, Time of the Season (both from the fantastic 1967 album Odessey and Oracle) and She’s Not There. Bonus of Hold Your Head Up, from members’ time with Argent.

A Rose for Emily always brings tears to my eyes: a beautiful ballad, and well sung. Odessey and Oracle is one of my favourite albums, but given I like odd 1960s stuff I’m always afraid that no one else will like it.

I was a very happy bunny by the end of this set.
